Lucerne — a Lakeside Day Trip, Done Properly
Less than an hour from Zurich by chauffeured car, Lucerne is Switzerland's classic postcard: the wooden Chapel Bridge over the Reuss, a medieval old town, and Lake Lucerne opening out toward two of the country's most photographed peaks. Most of our Lucerne trips start as a half-day or full-day excursion from Zurich — we plan the route, watch the weather on the passes, and bring you back whenever you're ready.
Mountain Excursions
Two Peaks, One Chauffeur
Mount Pilatus and Rigi sit on opposite shores of the lake, each reachable by road and cable car or cogwheel railway. We drive you to the base station, arrange timing around the cabins, and wait — no rental car, no timetables to decode in a second language.
Mount Pilatus
The steeper, more dramatic of the two — jagged ridgelines above the city, reachable by the world's steepest cogwheel railway from Alpnachstad, or the Dragon Ride cable car directly from Kriens. We handle whichever side makes sense for your day.
Rigi — Queen of the Mountains
A gentler, more panoramic summit nicknamed since the 19th century for its 360-degree views over central Switzerland. A favourite for guests who want the alpine view without the exposure of Pilatus's ridges.
