Innsbruck, Austria
Innsbruck — Tyrol's Capital, Ringed by the Alps
Twice an Olympic host, permanently a ski gateway
Innsbruck is unusual among European capitals: step out of almost any street in its compact old town and mountains fill the skyline in every direction. Twice host to the Winter Olympics, it remains the natural base for Tyrol's ski resorts — and our chauffeurs drive its winter roads, chained and unhurried, as routinely as we drive Zurich's Bahnhofstrasse.

Drive times to Tyrol's resorts
Innsbruck's real advantage over most Alpine bases is proximity — several major resorts sit close enough for a same-day return without ever boarding a shuttle bus. Ski bags, boot bags and a full set of equipment are handled the same way we handle any luggage: loaded, secured, no separate fee sprung on you at the car.
| Resort | Drive time | Distance |
|---|---|---|
| Seefeld | ~25 min | ~20 km |
| Axamer Lizum | ~30 min | ~18 km |
| Stubai Glacier | ~45 min | ~40 km |
| St. Anton am Arlberg | ~1h10 | ~100 km |
Olympic history
A city built twice for the world's winter athletes
1964 & 1976 Winter Games
Innsbruck remains one of only a handful of cities to host the Winter Olympics twice — its ski-jump tower still stands above the city, now a lookout point and museum.
Bergisel Ski Jump
Designed by architect Zaha Hadid for its modern rebuild, the jump tower offers a full panorama over Innsbruck and the surrounding peaks — a short chauffeured detour from the old town.
The Golden Roof & old town
Innsbruck's compact medieval centre, anchored by the gilded balcony of Emperor Maximilian I — narrow enough that a car drops you at the edge and you're there in minutes.
Nordkette cable car
One of the few cable cars in the world that lifts you from a city centre straight into high-alpine terrain in under twenty minutes — we handle the drive to the base station.
Flying in?
Innsbruck Airport (INN) sits about 4 km west of the old town, one of the more dramatic approaches in commercial aviation — mountains close on both sides of the runway. We track your flight and meet you at arrivals the same way we do at every airport we serve, transfers available on request.
